Spencer Law is focused on service, for our clients and our community, and on protecting the rights of those who need our assistance.  When someone is vulnerable or incapacitated, it may become necessary for someone to step in and take care of them.  When this requires someone to see to their day-to-day needs, provide for their care, seek appropriate medical care, and make routine decisions on their behalf, this requires appointment by the court as that person's guardian.  When this assistance is primarily related to financial decision making, protection of assets, or authority to preserve or dispose of property, the procedure is to seek appointment as a conservator.  Sometimes this will be a joint process, with one person being appointed for both roles.  At Spencer Law, we can guide you through this process, and assist you in seeking these appointments.
